MINNEAPOLIS, September 11, 2006Capella University, an online university, announced its sponsorship today for the upcoming Sharing@LearnShare conference in Atlanta. The event will be held on September 14–15 at the Renaissance Atlanta Hotel Downtown. The theme of the conference, “Achieving Competitive Advantage,” is designed to bring together professionals to exchange ideas on successfully training and developing employees.

The conference will feature keynote speeches by Mark Miller, Vice President, Training and Development for Chick-fil-A and Donnee Ramelli, President of GM University for General Motors. Both men, along with speakers representing other major businesses in attendance, will focus on the idea of developing strong employees in order to develop a successful business. Numerous major businesses: Coca-Cola, Home Depot, Delta Airlines, and many more are scheduled to participate in the presentations. These events have drawn thousands over the past two years and provided the opportunity for business people from diverse fields to discuss successful methods and network.

Capella is also sponsoring a breakout session with Michael Wright, director of change management, learning and organizational development, at Constellation Energy. His presentation, “Building Internal Change Management Capability”, will include, among other things, a discussion of the difference between doing change management versus building change management capability within a fast-paced constantly changing business environment.
