Cincinnati, Feb. 5, 2007 – Teresa Nared, a PhD student studying organization and management at Capella University, an accredited, fully online university, has been named a Profiles in Courage 2007 Honoree by Fifth Third Bank, WCPO-TV, the Urban League of Greater Cincinnati, the University of Cincinnati and the Cincinnati Herald.

CAPELLA UNIVERSITY SELECTS THREE STUDENTS TO RUN IN THE ANTARCTICA MARATHON

MINNEAPOLIS, Nov. 13, 2006 – One received a Purple Heart after being wounded by a roadside bomb in Iraq. One lost 150 pounds through a commitment to running and healthy eating. And one had to learn to walk again after breaking her neck in a car crash, and is a recent cancer survivor. They represent the three Capella University (www.capella.edu)  students chosen to compete in the upcoming Antarctica Marathon. Capella, which is an accredited online university, is the presenting sponsor of the marathon, which will be held on King George Island on Feb. 26, 2007.

MINNEAPOLIS, Nov. 7, 2006 — Capella University (www.capella.edu), an accredited online university and a leader in online education, has released its latest podcast, which features an interview with Carol Young, a recent PhD graduate and neonatal nurse in Houston. Part of the “Inside Online Education” podcast series, this installment highlights Young’s experience earning an advanced degree later in life, and the similarities to her passion for running marathons. She has completed more than a dozen marathons since age 54, which is also when she started pursuing her PhD.
